Visiting the Shrine

The statue of Our Lady of Woodstock is in the forest and always ready—whatever the time, whatever the day, whatever the season—to receive visitors. She stands right near the mailbox for 175 Plochmann Lane in Woodstock, New York. There is a shrine book to sign if you would like, free prayer cards, and seating made from the local bluestone. She is just off the road in the trees. You will see the many prayer flags.

Directions

If you are coming from the North (from Glasco Turnpike), She will be on your right in ½ a mile just after the mailbox. If you are coming from the South (and Route 212), She will be on your left just before the mailboxYou are welcome to park on the road.

The driveway leads to a private residence, and we ask that you not park in it.

Traditions

The ancient tradition was to visit a Lady at least twice—the first in petition, to ask for a miracle, and the second in gratitude to tell the story of your wonders. We hope you will come twice.

Weekly Rosary

Every Sunday at 4:30 pm  friends gather at the Shrine to pray the rosary together. All are welcome. There is natural bug spray in the shrine box—and a fire pit for the colder months.

Feast Day Celebrations

16th June: Feast Day of Our Lady of Woodstock

2nd November: Day of the Dead

Prayers and Miracles

Many people already credit Our Lady of Woodstock with miracles. She has brought babies to the childless, lovers to the lonely, healing to the sick, and joy to the sorrowful.

Traditionally, when people bring a petition to Our Lady, they also leave some memento of their prayer with Her. This is why visitors will see rosaries hanging from the branches of a nearby tree, crystal hearts and red threads placed on Her hands, and milagros of all kinds at Her feet.

Pilgrims usually make two visits to a sacred shrine–the first in petition and the second, when a prayer is answered, in thanksgiving.  If you experience a miracle that you credit to Our Lady of Woodstock, please be sure to let Clark and Perdita know so that they can add it to Our Lady’s Book of Miracles (continually updated on this website.)

Novena to Our Lady of Woodstock

For the nine days leading up to June 16th a full rosary is said each night at the shrine. Anyone who would like to participate in the Novena can learn more about it on this site.

On June 16th of every year a special celebration is held. All are invited to attend and to bring Our Lady offerings of song and art, plantings, sculptures, performaces, food, and of course roses of all kinds and whatever else feels right to celebrate Her! It’s a big event and a lot of fun and please do get invovled and join us!
