“You do not need to will the world to make it happen. The world happens on its own. You do not cause the world to be. Nor is it up to you to say what it is or should be.
“You do not cause yourself to be—and you cannot add more than is allowed to the span of your years on Earth. The world happens on its own and requires nothing of you, and yet it feeds you, holds you, comforts and protects you, inspires you, and loves you. Even when you are bones, the Earth never lets you go. If you would trust your Mother, you would know these things: as a flower knows its stem, as the leaves know the tree, and the roots know the ground.
“For all your learning, you know so little. Now is the time of a great remembering. I have never left you. I have never let you go.”
