“You must not worry about what you can neither imagine nor foresee. You will not know when they will arrive, these trials, or from which direction they will come. If you knew ahead of time what would happen and when, then you could plan accordingly. But these are not those kinds of threats.
“When a problem is everywhere, it comes out of nowhere. When it is in everyone, it could begin anywhere. You have not realized it yet, but you have no choice but to trust. Among those things you could still do to avoid the worst of your troubles, you will accomplish very few of them and not the right ones.
“You do not know what is happening to you, or why it is happening. And you certainly don’t know how to stop it. You have set in motion forces greater than yourselves, and those forces will have their way.
“But power is power. A great flood moves plants and animals to different ground. The wind not only destroys trees but carries their seeds many miles away. Shifts in the Earth’s plates cause the land to carry water in a different way. Sometimes entire islands and mountains ranges are formed.
“But all of these forces are greater than the power of any man. You cannot stand against them. And you do not understand them. But if you trust Me and follow My guidance, your encounters with them will make you wise.
“If you would come by that wisdom another way, I welcome you to seek it. But wisdom not born of the Earth and its rhythms is never truly wise. Men come and go. Mountains and rivers remain. And only those men and women remain with them afterwards who have learned from them how to be wise.”
