“You could as soon toss a stone into the air that doesn’t fall to Earth as send a prayer into the universe that does not lead you one step closer to your heart’s desire. The trick is to embark on that journey, to take one step, then another, after which the sheer momentum of prayer will carry you on your way. But first you have to be willing to go for the gold in prayer.
“There are all kinds of gold, but not all of it is real. You have to go for that which shines by virtue of its own nature, that which requires no polishing, no dusting. In discerning your heart’s desire and learning what it is that you want so that you can have it, you have to be able to spot the gold among all those other things that glitter. Your world is full of shiny objects, but not all of them are gold. In fact, as you will discover, it is rare to encounter more than one gold thing at a time.
“And so you must seek that gold which your heart desires above and before all else. If you do this, you will feel your creativity grow and you will experience an ease of heart that makes it possible to pray with confidence and faith for that which you truly desire.”
