There is an invisible transition in the history of your people that happens so gradually you have no memory of making it. That this transition is also continuous makes it even harder to detect. I speak of the movement from comfort to comfortableness that you call human civilization.
That movement holds the key to understanding who you were, who you are now, and who you might someday become again. I am the source of all comfort. I provide all that is needed for this life, and all that is needed for your journey from one life to the next. I provide you with bodies and the nurturance for those bodies. With food and water. With sunlight and coolness and warmth. And with the steadiness of the Earth beneath your feet. I provide all of these things, and I AM all of these things.
I am in you and within you as well. I provide the comforting rhythms that prevail like inner tides and seasons within your bodies. I give you the sense of a life lived from beginning to end. I offer the comfort of knowing a mother, and the solace of knowing that you may bring forth others of your kind from within your bodies so that your memory will continue in this world. I am the Comforter of Bodies, Minds, and Souls.
But that is not the same as feeling comfortable in those bodies, minds, and souls. It is not the same as the comforts you have created and provided for yourselves—those which you fear to lose. There is more comfort in a body standing naked on the Earth than in all the houses and homes, buildings and fortifications that you have created to contain you. These will falter and finally fall into nothingness. But that naked body, that house for the soul that you exchange, one for another, in the walking rhythm of your beginningless, endless journey through time—that will never falter or fall into nothingness.
The return of your body to this world does not happen at the end of all time. The Resurrection of the Dead IS all time. If you understand this, you will possess a comfort that can never be taken from you, a confidence that can never be shaken, and a love that knows no end.
You may add to this comfort, this confidence, and this love, but you can never surpass it. All that stands between you and the knowledge you once had is the belief that the world you have created is the real world, rather than the one I gave you in the beginning, even as I gave you to it.
Know that the world you were given cannot be destroyed but only forgotten. The time has come for you to remember it again.
