“A time will come when the streets will be empty and only the wind fills the spaces where people once lived and worked and passed their time. But you must not presume that such spaces are empty. Is it not the emptiness of your lungs that allows them to fill with air, to inhale and exhale, to form syllables and words with your lips, and carry oxygen to your blood? Is it not the emptiness of your heart that allows it to fill to overflowing, brimming over at each beat with the pulse of life?
“The changes to come will disrupt your way of life, but they will be a greater disruption to your way of thinking. It is your way of seeing and understanding the world and your place in it that must undergo the most profound transformation.
“Very little of what you believe and value now will be deemed worthy of belief and possessed of any real value in the times to come. That which is spent must be used for that which is new. That which was a dream must be abandoned upon waking. The world you have made in your own image must be allowed to fade before you can see the real world once more and recognize that you are made in its image and know that it is your Mother and there is no other.
“This is what I wish for you. This is where I will guide you. This, not heaven, has always been the World to Come.”
