‘To open the portal’ some will say, others call it ‘to step beyond the veil.’ But these are only expressions—words to describe a doorway that isn’t there, a gate that is gateless, a passage without any distance to traverse. It is like trying to divide a breeze in half, or to slice the water with a knife. Things flow together because they belong together. The living and the dead, the present and the past—these are all one body, all one beauty, all one truth.
Your body knows that truth with every breath. Without it, the blood could not course through your arteries and veins, the great rivers would cease to flow, and the planets would not orbit their stars. Even galaxies could not hold together.
You move in this life through a realm without a beginning or an end, a vast expanse of space and time where the only sense of belonging comes from belonging to one another. Where your only truth is the knowledge that you are contained by the uncontainable, loved beyond all measure, and held for all of eternity in My embrace.
And yet, as great, profound, and difficult to understand as this truth may be, I have made it small enough to hold in your hand, move with your fingers, utter with your lips, and carry in the depths of your heart.
