Our Lady Speaks

“Even in your own community, things will soon begin to feel in disarray. You have reached the point where life as you have known it no longer holds together. When everyone thinks and acts for themselves, a billion countries are born. And yet, there is more social cohesiveness than you imagine. As with a piece of china when it breaks, many large pieces still remain whole.
“Trust is a simple thing where societies are concerned. Trust is based on the integrity and necessity of one’s work. In former days, you would look to your lathe, your sheep, or your ledger and assume that others were doing the same. No one looked up from their work because they assumed that others were working, too. But this order prevailed only within certain limits. There are too many of you now for that order to prevail, and there is nothing to replace it.
“You must learn to live from the bottom up and the inside out. As you do this, new types of community will form. You must not look to your leaders to serve you. You must not cling to the idea of law. There are laws that are deeper and older than the ones you have made for yourself. Those laws are immutable and sure and true because they are older than the Word.
“The body follows those laws. The weather follows those laws. The plants and animals follow them, too. Your species alone set laws above these laws to sustain your illusion of control. The breaking of that illusion is a terrible thing for those whose job it is to create and maintain it. And yet, that job description fits everything you do.
“I am about to create massive unemployment. But not of the commercial, monetary kind. You will no longer be able toil at the work of building and maintaining the illusion that there is any law other than just what Nature does.”
