“Normally, a woman gives birth to a single child. Occasionally, she will give birth to two…rarely to three…and very rarely to more. This is the natural order of things. Usually, a mother carries one baby at a time.
“Similarly, there is no limit to the number of things you can pray for during a novena. However, if you want to carry your prayer intention to term and give birth to your heart’s desire – you should realize that in walking only one foot bears the weight of your body at a time. To hold the weight of your body on both feet at once is to stand still. You must understand this well in order to move forward on the path of prayer.
“If you have two or more important things to pray for, take up one, then place the others in my keeping until the next novena. Have faith…and have patience. There is no limit to the graces your heart can bear, but you mustn’t try to bear them all at once.”
