“Your way of looking at the world is that of the vivisectionist who stills and silences the body to open it up and look inside, seeking in that way to understand its function and how it is made. But no true knowledge can be gained from such an autopsy. Only by leaving your world whole, undivided, and alive can you gain a useful understanding.
“You have no existence apart from the world. Nor can you define your world apart from yourself, parceling it into pieces and analyzing those pieces, and hope to attain true wisdom. You must learn to look at the world from within the world. Your understanding must be inside out.
“This is why I have asked you to pray the rosary: to regain that understanding. You may have reasons of your own for praying it—for protection, for prosperity, for happiness, for healing—the net result of which is the same. Nevertheless, you should know that all prayers are answered from the bottom up and the inside out. Your world and you yourselves are the Living Body of Prayer.”
