“Each of you has an optimal inner place from which to utter the prayers of the rosary, for you are never no place when you pray. That inner place does not always mirror your outward circumstances, and it is not limited by time or space.
“Just as I told you before that each of you had an outward center in the world, a place of power and connection, a place to stand with your feet in the earth and your spirit reaching to the sky, in the same way you have an inner place that folds the outward world within you, just as a bird folds her wings to roost upon a nest.
“That inward place is like the rail before an altar or sacred image—a place to kneel and pray. This is the place where your prayer is most powerful, and it is here that you must go to pray during your times of greatest need.
“You carry this place of prayer within you wherever you go, and really it is all you need. People put their faith in money, protection, weaponry, and all manner of preparation—but these avail nothing in comparison to the place of prayer.
“The Psalms of the Bible were composed and uttered in this place. The Vedas and the Upanishads, the Sutras and Suras, were likewise written there. You carry its wisdom within you always. For though your hands be empty, they may always be folded in prayer. In prayer you enter the place of the soul, and it is here that your true power lies.
“Beginning now, remember this for all the days to come. If you find the place of prayer within you, you will find in it everything that you need. If you do not, the whole world will not be sufficient to sustain your life for even one more day.
“These words are meant to steady and not to frighten you. Each of you without exception, by praying the rosary, can find and enter this place. The rosary is the door that leads to it. Do not seek for it in the world.”
