“When story and reason and sympathy meet with the incomprehensible, absurdity is born.
“People don’t understand Hieronymous Bosch. They see his vision as comparable to the effluvium of a fevered brain. But Bosch made a strange kind of sense of absurdity.
“You will, over the next year or so, cobble together a strange sense of the absurdity that comes at you from all sides. The problem for most people will be that it will infiltrate all aspects of life, so that even the places they normally turn for solace and security will no longer hold any peace for them.
“As this happens, people will begin to act in unpredictable ways. But have no fear. All is not disorder. All is not chaos. Everything isn’t as disorganized as it seems. You must know this and believe it in order for Me to lead you by the hand.
“It is a strange thing, but if you look in Bosch’s paintings, you will see that there are people who seem to know where they are going. There are those who know what to do.”
